Poroshenko signs resolution to suspend accreditation of Russian media in state bodies

The Ukrainian Security Service will define the list of Russian media to be deprived of accreditation at Ukraine’s state power bodies until the end of Kiev’s military operation in Donbas

KIEV, February 17. /TASS/. Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko on Tuesday signed a resolution to suspend accreditation of Russian journalists at Ukrainian state power bodies, the Verkhovna Rada, Ukraine’s unicameral parliament, reported on its website on Tuesday.

The Rada on February 12 voted to suspend accreditation of Russian media at Ukraine’s state power bodies. The decision was supported by 239 deputies with 226 votes required to pass it.

The Ukrainian Security Service (SBU) will define the list of Russian media to be deprived of accreditation at Ukraine’s state power bodies until the end of Kiev’s military operation in the country’s embattled south-east.
