MOSCOW, February 16. /TASS/. Leader of the Russian Communist Party, MP Gennady Zyuganov, has dismissed a list of Russian citizens blacklisted by EU as "dirty snow which melts when spring comes."
"I think that any lists made with the aim of disrupting normal relations are not merely abnormal; they are unnatural and criminal in essence," Zyuganov told a news conference at TASS on Monday.
On Monday morning the EU made public a renewed list of Russian citizens to whom the EU sanctions were applied. Russian Deputy defense minister Anatoly Ivanov, singer Iosif Kobzon, MP Valery Rashkin, who heads the Moscow branch of the Communist party organization, fourteen people from the south-east of Ukraine and nine juridical entities — the formations of self-defense forces from the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Luhansk republics, were added to a group of citizens already blacklisted by EU.
"In the long run, any war, any fight ends in negotiations", Zyuganov said. As an example, Zyuganov mentioned the Yalta conference ( held during WWII in 1945 with the participation of the leaders of the Soviet Union, the United States and Great Britain), which 70th anniversary was recently celebrated. Zyuganov underlined that "Stalin, Churchill and Roosevelt reached consensus during talks then."
"I look upon such sanctions as "dirty snow" which melts when spring comes," Zyuganov said.
