LPR militias say aircraft shot down near Irmino was drone

Earlier, LPR leader Igor Plotnitsky said that militias had shot down a Ukrainian warplane, whose pilot had ejected from the aircraft

MOSCOW, February 3. /TASS/. Militias of the self-proclaimed Luhansk People’s Republic (LPR) have shot down a drone near the settlement of Irmino, LuhanskInformCenter said on Tuesday, citing a source in the LPR self-defense forces.

Earlier, LPR leader Igor Plotnitsky said that militias had shot down a Ukrainian warplane, whose pilot had ejected from the aircraft.

According to the source, a Ukrainian airforce drone was shot down near Irmino in a time span from 13:00 to 15:00 local time. "Drone’s fragments and a parachute were erroneously taken for a pilot shooting himself clear," the source said.
