Poroshenko’s administration: At Contact Group talks Donetsk, Lugansk present ultimatum

On Saturday, another attempt of the Contact Group on Ukraine to agree a truce in Donbass was over without any clear results

KIEV, January 31. /TASS/. At the negotiations of the Contact Group in Minsk on January 31, representatives of the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics (DPR and LPR) "presented ultimatums," deputy head of the Ukrainian presidential administration Valery Chalyi said on Sunday.

"(We) had a tough day. They presented ultimatums. They wanted to scare us. Tried to play a game claiming Kiev was failing talks and work of the Contact Group," he wrote on his page in Facebook.

Further on, he wrote about "professional work" of Ukrainian representatives in Minsk and said "if it were not for people being killed, we could speak about a diplomatic victory in this situation."

"Unfortunately, the peace process is at risk," he said.

On Saturday, another attempt of the Contact Group on Ukraine to agree a truce in Donbass was over without any clear results. After the talks, which lasted over three hours, the participants left Minsk without even mentioning further possible contacts.
