Human Rights Watch accuses Ukrainian army of using indiscriminate weapons in south-east

Incidents of the use of such banned weapons as cluster weapons were reported in the east of Ukraine in recent months, a HRW researcher says

MOSCOW, January 29. /TASS/. The Human Rights Watch has accused the Ukrainian army of using indiscriminate weapons in the south-east of Ukraine.

Yulia Gorbunova, a Human Rights Watch researcher, said that in recent months incidents of the use of indiscriminate weapons, banned in densely populated areas of Ukraine, and weapons totally banned by the law such as cluster weapons, were reported in the east of Ukraine.

"The Ukrainian government forces have been using banned weapons such as Grad multiple launch missile installations, which kill a huge number of peaceful civilians, in violation of international law," Gorbunova said

Self-defense forces have made matters worse, locating their military facilities in densely populated areas in violation of the war laws, Gorbunova said.
