Kiev forces’ shelling kills 11 citizens in Donetsk republic — defense ministry

MOSCOW, January 29. /TASS/. At least 11 citizens have been killed in the past 24 hours as a result of shellings by Kiev troops of towns in the self-proclaimed Donetsk people’s republic, the DPR defense ministry spokesman said on Thursday.

"Over the past 24 hours, 11 peaceful citizens have been killed and another 27 have been wounded," Eduard Basurin was quoted by the official Donetsk news agency.

Seven people died and another 20 were wounded in Donetsk. Four others were killed and six injured in the city of Gorlovka, in the Donetsk republic, the defense ministry spokesman said.

The towns of the self-proclaimed Donetsk republic have been shelled 59 times over the past 24 hours.
