Earthquake hits Odessa region of Ukraine

ODESSA, January 25. /TASS/. This year’s most powerful earthquake has affected the city of Izmail in Ukraine’s Odessa region on Saturday, January 24. The quake magnitude reached 4.7 points, Ukrainian media reported on Sunday.

“The quake epicentre was located in the seismically active zone Vrancha at a depth of 100 kilometres,” say the reports.

The city residents also said furniture was moving at apartments on the upper storeys of apartment buildings.

Fourteen earth tremors of varying force have been recorded in the region over the past week.
