KIEV, January 25. /TASS/. The Dnepropetrovsk region of Ukraine is introducing a special security and defence regime, deputy head of the Dnepropetrovsk regional state administration Svyatoslav Oleynik wrote on Facebook page.

“A number of quite radical decisions to ensure security in the region have been taken. We are transferring to a special regime of life, the key priority is the region’s security and defence capacity,” he said.

On Friday, all law enforcement agencies in Kharkov were transferred to the alert work regime and introduced intensified monitoring of the situation. Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseny Yatsenyuk had also previously instructed the head of the country’s National Guard Aleksandr Krivenko “to alert all the men to patrol the streets to protect citizens.”.
