KIEV, January 22. /TASS/. More than five thousand people have been killed in the war-torn south-east of Ukraine, spokesperson of Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine Michael Bociurkiw said.

Meanwhile, more than ten thousand have been wounded, one million local residents have fled their homes, and around five million were affected by the situation in the region in some way, he said live on the News of Ukraine radio.

The current situation is getting worse, Bociurkiw said.
