Russian diplomat says P5+1 meeting with Iran was very useful

“The meeting was very useful. We had detailed discussions. The talks will soon be resumed,” said Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov

GENEVA, January 17. /TASS/. The P5+1 group’s /the five permanent members of the United Nations Security Council and Germany/ meeting with Iran on the latter’s nuclear programme was very useful, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said on Sunday.

“The meeting was very useful. We had detailed discussions. The talks will soon be resumed,” he said.

No considerable progress has been reached in the latest round of talks between the P5+1 group’s (the five permanent members of the United Nations Security Council and Germany) and Iran, head of the French delegation Nicolas de Riviere said on Sunday.

“I don’t think we have managed to reach considerable progress,” he said.

It is too early to speak about any progress at Iran’s talks with the P5+1 group of international mediators on the Iranian nuclear programme, head of the Iranian delegation Abbas Aragchi said.

“We had detailed and useful discussions,” he said, adding that the next round would be held in February. The exact date and the venue were being agreed, he noted.
