Russian supplies restore 150 schools and hospitals in Ukraine’s east

Another 400 facilities are being restored at the moment, Russian Deputy Emergencies Minister Vladimir Stepanov told TASS

MOSCOW, January 15. /TASS/. Nearly 150 schools and medical facilities have been restored in Ukraine’s war-ravaged south-east thanks to Russian relief aid sent to the Donetsk and Luhansk regions over the past six months, Russian Deputy Emergencies Minister Vladimir Stepanov said on Thursday.

“Over the period of humanitarian aid supplies, some 150 socially significant facilities have been restored,” Stepanov told TASS. “These are healthcare facilities and schools,” he said, adding that restoration work continued in eastern territory shattered by conflict between government forces and local militias.

“Another 400 facilities are being restored at the moment,” Stepanov said, noting also that Russian relief cargoes helped to provide food to socially disadvantaged people living at more than 2,200 locations.
