Donetsk Republic’s representatives, Ukrainian military are meeting in Donetsk

Earlier, Ukrainian General Staff spokesman Vladislav Seleznyov said that the negotiators will be discussing issues in the context of compliance with Minsk agreements

DONETSK December 29. /TASS/. A meeting of representatives of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic and the Ukrainian armed forces has begun in Donetsk, the Donetsk News Agency reports.

The Donetsk Republic is represented by its Defense Ministry officials and human rights ombudsman Darya Morozova. The make-up of the Ukrainian delegation is unclear. The meeting is being held behind closed doors.

Earlier, Ukrainian General Staff spokesman Vladislav Seleznyov said that the negotiators will be discussing issues in the context of compliance with Minsk agreements.

“The talks will be devoted to issues related to information exchanges, certain messages and items of the ceasefire plan’s implementation, support for the operation of the coordinating centre in Donetsk and measures to ensure the security of the center’s observers.

Seleznyov said a similar meeting will take place in Luhansk on December 31.

On December 26 the militias and Kiev’s military exchanged 222 prisoners for 150.
