Donbass militias not attacking Kiev law enforcers may be amnestied

“This will most likely be done in the near future,” spokesman for Ukrainian National Security and Defence Council Andrei Lysenko told

KIEV, December 25. /TASS/. Militias from the self-proclaimed Lugansk and Donetsk People’s Republics who did not attack Ukrainian servicemen may be amnestied, spokesman for Ukrainian National Security and Defence Council Andrei Lysenko told TV channel 112.

“Measures should be taken to help these people to side with us after a proper check, give them an opportunity and guarantees that they will not be punished, if they did not participate in assaults on our armed forces, if they just performed patrolling functions and guarded ammunition depots,” he said.

“This will most likely be done in the near future,” he said.
