Poroshenko calls on EU to look at increasing macro-financial aid to Ukraine

KIEV, December 16. /TASS/. Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko had a telephone conversation with President of the European Council Donald Tusk to discuss the results of the latest meeting of the European Union foreign ministers and exchange views on the situation in Ukraine ahead of a EU meeting due to be held in Brussels on December 18-19, the press service of the Ukrainian head of state said on Tuesday.

Special attention was focused on possible expansion of macro-financial assistance to Ukraine. The European Union is looking at issuing a thirds package of macro-financial aid, and the Ukrainian president called on the EU to consider its possible increase.
