KIEV, December 15. /TASS/. Ukraine seeks to hold a meeting of the Contact Group on Ukraine shortly, presidential deputy chief of staff Valeriy Chaly said on Monday.

“This weekend the president has held talks with (French President Francois) Hollande and (German Chancellor Angela) Merkel to coordinate actions for holding the Contact Group meeting,” Chaly said.

“We’re glad that the OSCE continues its work in the Contact Group. We want the meeting to be held as soon as possible,” he said.

Ukraine does not give up other formats of the talks. “We’re ready to hold talks within the Normandy format and in any other format. The main thing is that it would yield some results,” Chaly said.
