Interpol leaves Ukraine’s request to search for Yanukovich unanswered

“They are not answering anything. We keep sending materials to them but they are silent” the Ukrainian news agency UNN quotes Yaryoma as saying

KIEV, December 8 /TASS/. Interpol has left unanswered Ukraine’s requests to put the country’s former President Viktor Yanukovich on the international wanted list, Ukraine’s Chief Prosecutor Vitaly Yaryoma told journalists on Monday.

“They are not answering anything. We keep sending materials to them but they are silent. They tell us at negotiations that a political investigation into Yanukovich’s actions is necessary,” the Ukrainian news agency UNN quotes Yaryoma as saying.

Ukraine’s chief prosecutor said that materials proving Yanukovich’s complicity to political and economic crimes had been presented to Interpol.
