Donetsk suggests meeting of Contact Group in Minsk on December 12

Pushilin said he was unalterably opposed to participation of representatives from the United States and the European Union in the Minsk process

DONETSK, December 6. /TASS/. Vice-speaker of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) Denis Pushilin has suggested that a next meeting on peace settlement in Ukraine’s east should be held in the Belarusian capital Minsk on December 12.

Pushilin said he was unalterably opposed to participation of representatives from the United States and the European Union in the Minsk process.

“I propose to hold a meeting in Minsk on December 12 and hope that Kiev will not be seeking excuses for further delays,” Pushilin said. “Speaking about participation of the U.S. and EU, I regard this idea as inadmissible.”

“The United States is a political sponsor of Donbass people’s genocide so the U.S. participation in the Minsk process will delegitimize its results and that will cause rejection among residents of the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics.”.
