Russia, Kuwait discuss prospects for nuclear energy peaceful use

Russia offered Kuwait then its assistance in working out national legislation, creating supervision structures and building a research nuclear centre

MOSCOW, March 28. /ITAR-TASS/. Russia and Kuwait have discussed prospects for improving cooperation in using nuclear energy for peaceful purposes, Rosatom has said.

On March 27, Rosatom Deputy Director for International Activities Nikolai Spassky met with Kuwaiti Ambassador to Russia Abdulaziz al-Adwani over this issue.

In 2010 Rosatom and the Kuwait National Nuclear Energy Committee signed a memorandum on mutual understanding and cooperation in the use of nuclear energy for peaceful purposes.
