Early presidential elections are scheduled for May 26

KIEV, February 24. /ITAR-TASS/. Ukraine's Central Election Committee launches presidential campaign, Verkhovna Rada speaker and acting president of Ukraine Oleksandr Turchynov stated at the conciliation board of the deputies' groups and factions of the parliament on Monday.

“Today the Central Election Commission will declare about early presidential elections. Candidates can be nominated tomorrow,” Turchynov said.

The speaker said the parliament should redistribute expenditures from the 2014 budget to prepare and hold the presidential elections. “The elections should be fair and transparent,” Turchynov said.

The early presidential elections are scheduled for May 26.
