Dutch police investigate breaking in flats of Russian diplomats in Hague

The Russian diplomatic mission has not commented on the incident yet

THE HAGUE, October 18 (Itar-Tass) - The Dutch police are investigating the illegal penetration in the flats of employees of the Russian Embassy in the Netherlands on Thursday evening, the TV channel NOS reported.

The breaking in the flats was committed in Banstraat Street in The Hague. This building does not have the diplomatic status. The flats in the residential house are rented for employees of the embassy. The law enforcement agencies have not produced other details yet, the TV channel added.

The Russian diplomatic mission has not commented on the incident yet.

Meanwhile, overnight to October 6 Minister-Counsellor of the Russian Embassy Dmitry Borodin was arrested and brought to a police station despite his diplomatic status. On October 9, the Netherlands offered official apologies to Russia, acknowledging that “the arrest and keeping in custody of the Russian diplomat, who has full diplomatic immunity, violated the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations.”
