Stefan Fule: Ukraine’s Association Agreement with EU doesn't infringe Russia's interests

"Russia will also receive major benefits from the Eastern Partnership countries’ integration of a wider European economy," European Commissioner said

KIEV, October 11 (Itar-Tass) - Ukraine’s Association Agreement with the European Union that is being prepared for signing in Vilnius, does not infringe upon Russia’s interests, European Commissioner for Enlargement and European Neighbourhood Policy Stefan Fule said at a roundtable meeting on Friday. “On the contrary,” he said, “Russia will also receive major benefits from the Eastern Partnership countries’ integration of a wider European economy".

“Our vision is that the Agreement should make a major contribution in the longer term to the creation of a common economic space, as we say - from Lisbon to Vladivostok on the basis of the rules of the World Trade Organisation,” the EU commissioner added.
