Russia’s sports ministry to allocate 613 mln roubles to sports organisations in 2015

MOSCOW, January 3. /TASS/. Russia’s sports ministry will continue to provide financial support to Russian sports organisations, including in Crimea and the city of Sevastopol, allocating a total of 613.8 million roubles ($10.45 million) for the purpose in 2015, the government said on its website on Saturday.

In 2014 sports organisations engaged in the training of the athletic reserve for the national teams in Olympic, Paralympic and Deaflympic sports received 582 million roubles ($9.91 million), the governmental press service said.

Russia’s Sports Ministry has disbursed 27 million roubles ($459,729) to sports organisations in Crimea and Sevastopol following the two territories' reunification with Russia in the middle of last March.

At the same time, the ministry is exercising control over the spending on events financed from the federal budget.
