Russian Alpine skier Aleksandra Frantseva won the gold medal in visually impaired SG race

SOCHI, March 14, /ITAR-TASS/. Russian Alpine skier Aleksandra Frantseva has won the gold medal in visually impaired super combined event at the XI Paralympic Winter Games in the Russian Black Sea resort city of Sochi on Friday. The result by the sum of the two disciplines - slalom and super giant - was 2 minutes 27.75 seconds.

Jade Etherington (2:28.38) from Great Britain has grabbed the silver medal, Danelle Umstead (2:42.09) from the United States has taken the bronze medal.

Frantseva in a duet with her visual guide Pavel Zabotin has also won the gold medal in slalom race, the bronze medal in downhill event and the silver medal in super-G race in Sochi.
