NEW YORK, January 31. /ITAR-TASS/. It is safe in Sochi now. This view expressed US President Barack Obama in an interview to CNN TV outlet on Friday.
When asked what he would like to tell his close friends on whether they should visit the Olympic Games in Sochi, he answered: “I'd tell them that I believe Sochi is safe and that there are always some risks in these large international gatherings.”
"The Russian authorities understand the stakes here. They understand that there are potential threats that are out there, and we are coordinating with them," the US president added.
