MOSCOW, February 6. /TASS/. Ukraine’s ban on Russian films justifies its chaotic wish to outlaw all Russian films but these activities are senseless in the Internet era, an official of the Russian Culture Ministry’s department for cinematography said on Friday.

Earlier reports said that the Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada parliament had imposed restrictions on TV and radio broadcasting and cinema screening of the films, programs and series, shot after 1991 and featuring Russia’s Armed Forces and other law enforcement agencies.

"Strange that the We are From the Future-2 film has not been blacklisted," Vyacheslav Telnov said. "It features good Russians along with Bandera fighters who execute peaceful civilians in the times of World War II. Allegedly, the soundtrack of a Ukrainian rock group shielded the film from the ban."

Telnov is confident it justifies that "tastes differ among Ukraine’s lawmakers and officials and their wish to ban Russian films is chaotic."
