Putin to visit Egypt on February 9-10

MOSCOW, February 4. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin will visit Egypt on February 9-10 to discuss bilateral and international issues, the Kremlin press service said on Wednesday.

Putin's talks with his Egyptian counterpart, Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, will focus on the development of bilateral relations, mainly in the political, humanitarian, trade and economic fields, the press service said.

Putin's talks in Egypt will focus on "the situation in the Middle East and North Africa, first of all, in Iraq, Syria, Libya and also on the Palestinian-Israeli settlement," the press service said.

El-Sisi who took office last May visited Russia in August 2014.

Putin's previous visit to Egypt took place in April 2005. Dmitry Medvedev, who was the Russian president in 2008-2012, visited the country in June 2009.
