Ivanov: Neo-Nazi manifestations can be seen in countries of "young" Europe

This is a source of serious concern," The Kremlin Administration Chief said

OSWIECIM /POLAND/, January 27 /TASS/. The Kremlin Administration Chief, Sergei Ivanov, has said he is concerned with manifestations of Neo-Nazism in some countries of "young" Europe where "the anti-Nazi injection is no longer working and the immunity has been lost."

"This is a source of serious concern," Ivanov said.

He and other members of a Russian delegation had arrived in Oswiecim to attend the celebrations of the 70th anniversary of the death camp’s liberation by the Red Army during WWII.

Ivanov has laid a wreath at the Death Wall at the former Nazi concentration camp Auschwitz Birkenau on behalf of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

A spruce wreath with white, blue and red flowers is twined by a ribbon of the colors of the Russian tricolor. An inscription in golden letters says "from the president of Russia."

Ivanov bowed for a minute to pay tribute to the camp’s victims.

On his way to the Death Wall, Ivanov walked several hundred meters on foot along the camp’s barracks. "It was a real factory of death," he said.

The Death Wall was erected close to barrack 11 near the camp’s gates which used to carry the notoriously famous inscription "Work Makes /You/ Free" /"Arbeit macht frei"/. Thousands of inmates were shot dead by fascists near that wall.
