MOSCOW. January 22./TASS/ Russia understands the price that it has to pay for the decisions that it has made, but it is a joint responsibility, Russia's Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said at the Cabinet meeting on Thursday.

"As responsible leaders, we have to understand the price that we have to pay for the decision that we made, and what difficult work is ahead of us, in order to minimize the impact of economic problems," Medvedev said.

He added that Russia's economy is not only facing an oil price collapse, but also external pressure in the form of sanctions. Prime Minister Medvedev admitted that it was the result of a number of political decisions, but it was a conscious choice.

"It was a conscious choice based on the request of people who asked for help and support to our country. And, in fact, it is a common position not only for the branches of government, but also for all of our people," Medvedev said.
