Russia to dispatch 12th humanitarian convoy to eastern Ukraine when ready

The column of trucks will deliver foodstuffs and medicines to Donetsk and Luhansk, Russian Emergencies Minister Vladimir Puchkov said

MOSCOW, January 14. /TASS/. Russia’s Emergencies Ministry will dispatch the 12th convoy with humanitarian aid to Donbas when the cargoes are ready for consigning, Emergencies Minister Vladimir Puchkov said on Wednesday.

The column of trucks will deliver foodstuffs and medicines to Donetsk and Luhansk, he said when answering a question from TASS.

“With assistance from Russia’s regions, we’re putting together a consignment of foodstuffs and medicines for the residents of Donetsk and Luhansk regions,” Puchkov said. “The convoy will leave when ready.”

With account of requests coming from the authorities of the two much-troubled east Ukrainian regions, the relief supplies will also include spare parts and expendable materials for keeping up normal operations of power plants and electricity distribution grids, as well as the vital social and communal facilities.
