MOSCOW, December 29 /TASS/. Sentences on Russian opposition figurehead Alexey Navalny and his brother Oleg Navalny will be passed on December 30 following a decision by a Moscow district court.

“Today, I have got a call from the court secretary who told me that the sentence would be announced at 9:00 tomorrow, December 30,” Navalny’s lawyer Vadim Kobzyev told TASS.

Initially, the court was supposed to announce the verdict on January 15.

Both men are accused of a massive fraud in a conspiracy with office abuse and of money laundering. Investigators claim they have embezzled 26.7 million roubles (around $753 thousand) from perfume company Yves Rocher Vostok and more than 4.4 million roubles (around $124 thousand) from a processing company from 2008 to 2013.
