MOSCOW, December 26. /TASS/. Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev believes that to lead the government in the times of crisis is as hard as to be president in office, he said at the Central Television programme on the Russian NTV.
“Generally, as a Russian proverb says, the horse radish isn’t sweeter than garden radish,” Medvedev said. “It’s a rather difficult thing. I can say honestly that each of these positions tends to daily involve you in the material, in the work and to oblige you to make operative decisions. So I cannot feel any particular difference,” Medvedev said, who was Russia’s president in 2008-2009 amid the world’s financial and economic crisis.
At the same time, the prime minister said that in spite of difficulties the work had not been without pleasant moments.
“What are they like? Just one thing: there is an opportunity to make a decision which, to my mind, is an optimal measure in this situation, which could help people and which could resolve a conflict situation,” he said. “And perhaps, it gives accomplishment. Although quite frankly, either one job or the other is not the easiest.”.
