Russia's noninvolvement in Donbas confirmed by Lavrov's statement — DPR

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said Russia is not suggesting federalization or autonomy for eastern Ukraine's Donetsk and Luhansk regions

DONETSK, December 16. /TASS. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov’s statement on support for the territorial integrity of Ukraine confirms Moscow’s noninvolvement in processes in Donbas (eastern Ukraine's Donetsk and Luhansk regions), self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) Foreign Minister Alexander Kofman said Tuesday.

“This once again confirms that Russia is not the initiator of local processes. We are fully responsible for what is going on here,” Kofman said. “Russia is not entitled to pose as a supporter of a split in a neighboring country. They may speak for preservation of the lives and dignity of the people of that state, but in no way for its split.”
