Chechnya’s head publishes proofs terrorist Doku Umarov is dead

“Umarov has never been a warrior. He was good at claiming he was involved with what was happening in the world", - Ramzan Kadyrov said

GROZNY, July 19 /ITAR-TASS/. Head of Russia’s Chechnya Republic Ramzan Kadyrov has put on his page in a social network a picture of dead leader of Caucasus underground Doku Umarov.

“I have said earlier that Doku Umarov had been killed in a special mission. But various law enforcement authorities and the media hurried to doubt the information. They claimed they did not see the dead body. We at that time had undisputable proofs he had been killed. Later on, the fact of his death was confirmed officially. Now, to those who would prefer to believe that rat is still alive, we can demonstrate it after death,” Ramzan Kadyrov wrote.

“Umarov has never been a warrior. He was good at claiming he was involved with what was happening in the world. In this sense, he even surpassed Salman Raduyev,” he wrote. “Never ever will appear in Chechnya any Umarovs, Basayevs, or Hattabs. For that we have will, force, unity and cohesion.”

On April 8, head of the Federal Security Service (FSB) Aleksandr Bortnikov told a meeting of the National Anti-Terrorist Committee activities of the head of the terrorist organisation the Caucasus Emirate (Imarat Kavkaz, IK), Doku Umarov, was “stopped.”

In 2010, the U.S. put Doku Umarov on the list of international terrorists. In 2011, the UN Security Council included him in the list of terrorists, connected with Al-Qaeda. That very year, Washington promised a reward of five million dollars for information on Umarov’s location.
