Putin arrives in Sevastopol for naval and avation part of Victory Day parade

Earlier on Friday, Russian President Vladimir Putin watched the military parade on Red Square

SEVASTOPOL, May 09. /ITAR-TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin has arrived in the hero city of Sevastopol which will host the naval and aviation part of Victory Day parade. Seventy aircraft will fly over Sevastopol for the first time in the history of parades in the city.

Earlier on Friday, the head of state watched the parade on Red Square. Putin then left for Crimea, his first trip to the Crimean Federal District since its recent reunification with Russia.

In Sevastopol, hundreds of thousands people watched the Victory Day parade. Columns of modern military equipment were followed by field kitchens and half-ton WW II trucks.
