MOSCOW, March 06. /ITAR-TASS/. Officials in Moscow are verifying reports on the difficulties Russian citizens are coming to face with while crossing the Russian-Ukrainian border, a spokesman for the Russian Foreign Ministry said Thursday night.
“Information we’re getting from the regions adjoining the Russian-Ukrainian border suggests problems have sprung up with the crossing of border by the holders of Russian passports and the cars registered in Russia, which are being turned back to Russia,” he said. “We’re clearing out the circumstances and causes of the problems that have emerged.”
“Moscow believes that the Ukrainian border guards’ actions impede free traveling by Russian citizens and contacts between the residents of regions located across the different sides of the border, and run counter to the Ukrainian-Russian agreements in that sphere,” the spokesman said.
