PYATIGORSK, November 1. (Itar-Tass) – Suspected terrorist with a suicide belt has been detained in Stavropol Krai, local police told Itar-Tass on Friday, noting that a criminal case has been opened, classified as “illegal arms trafficking.” The suspect is Aktay Bremov, born in 1983, the source said.

A powerful explosive device with an electronic detonator was discovered in outskirts of Stavropol during operative work. 

The latest terrorist act in Russia occurred October 21. Explosion of a passenger bus in Volgograd claimed lives of 6 people, and 37 people were taken to hospital. Eight of them were placed in intensive care facilities. Four people are in critical condition.

Upon the explosion has been filed a criminal case under 3 articles – “terrorist attack”, “murder of two or more people” and “illegal arms and explosives trafficking”.

Three days of mourning were declared in the Volgograd region.
