Famed Bolshoi Theatre ex-soloist found safe and sound in Cyprus

Vlasov’s wife, famous ballerina Lilia Sabitova, told authorities about the disappearance of her husband. He left home at about 5am on Friday

NICOSIA, December 28. /TASS/. Famous Russian ballet master and former solo dancer of the Bolshoi Theatre Stanislav Vlasov, 81, who went missing from his house in Cypriot city of Limassol early on Friday morning, was found alive in the tourist area of Yermasoyia on Sunday, a Cypriot police spokesman told TASS.

He was found at about 10am local time (8am GMT) sleeping in the bushes at a ravine, the police spokesman said, adding that an ambulance was called immediately. Doctors concluded that Vlasov was healthy. However, they delivered him to the Limassol central clinic for a detailed medical examination. After that he will be brought back home.

On Saturday, Cypriot police has posted an announcement about the Bolshoi Theatre ex-soloist gone missing and his photograph on police pages in Facebook and Twitter and a hotline was opened.
