Cat feasts on seafood worth $1,100 at Russian airport

According to the shop assistant, the intruder ate some vacuum-packed smoked fish and squid

VLADIVOSTOK, December 11. /TASS/. A cat sneaked into a shop at the airport in Vladivostok, Russia's Far East, eating and spoiling seafood worth some 60,000 rubles ($1,100), a shop assistant said on Thursday.

The intruder ate some vacuum-packed smoked fish and squid, he said.

The airport's press service said that the airport's safety rules allowed no cats to be kept there but the feline could have run away from one of the passengers.

"The animal was caught on CCTV sneaking into the shop when it was open. The cat was locked there after the shop's closure," the press service said.
