A sinkhole collapse occurred 3.5 kilometers east of the Solikamsk-2 mine belonging to potash producng giant Uralkali in Russia's Perm Territory. A sinkhole measuring 20 by 30 meters could grow in size according to local government official. Hundreds of such collapses have been registered since the start of industrial salt extraction in the United States, Canada, France, Germany, Russia and other countries.
