PARIS, November, 14. /TASS/. French police fails to catch a tiger wandering in Parisian suburbs, the local media reported. The searches have been unsuccessful even after involving an air help: at night a helicopter of Civil Defense Agency with thermal observation device flew around the territory of Seine-et-Marne. It’s pointed out that the tiger was last seen by local residents in the area of a small town of Pontcarre.

The messages about a walking freely tiger appeared on Thursday. It was spotted near one of the supermarkets near the city of Montevrain. The seller of the store even managed to take a picture of the animal.

The police and the wildlife experts arrived and found out the cat’s footprints, which helped to define the approximate weight and age. According to experts estimates, a young 200 kilogram tiger wanders somewhere around. The search becomes a problem because of the dense groves — the remains of the dense forests that covered this area in the middle ages. It was proposed previously that the tiger ran away from circus that performed not far away from the supermarket. However according to official data there were no tigers in the circus. The tiger may have also run away from one of the rich owners of the local residences.
