Iran women’s football team turned out to include four men

British media reported that the men will be allowed to play for the women’s team after they undergo sex change operation

LONDON, February 11. /ITAR-TASS/. Four players in Iran women’s national football team turned out to be men. They were temporarily disqualified, the British media reported.

Athletes failed to pass gender-testing. Football players are now in line for a sex-change operation. Despite strict rules in the Islamic Republic of Iran, players will be allowed to continue their career after mandatory sex-change operation.

This case prompted the introduction of new rules, according to which all women are required to undergo gender-testing before signing a contract with a football club.
