Gazprom gas export may grow beyond expectation in 2015 — Gazprombank

Gazprom exported 147.2 billion cubic meters of gas in 2014 and 162.7 billion cubic meters a year earlier

MOSCOW, February 3. /TASS/. The actual gas export of the Russian gas monopoly can be above the forecast in 2015 owing to the predicted demand growth against falling gas prices, Gazprombank said on Tuesday.

The 2015-2017 export forecast amounts to 150-160 billion cubic meters a year for the time being. "We consider such figures rather conservative because soaring gas export to the EU member-countries is expected in 2Q and 3Q 2015 against declining gas prices after the oil price drop," the bank said. "In our opinion, gas export in 2015 can be above expectations," Gazprombank added.

Gazprom exported 147.2 billion cubic meters of gas in 2014 and 162.7 billion cubic meters a year earlier.

Gazprombank said the lowered demand in European nations contributed to the decline of Russian gas export to Europe, although Gazprom retained its 30% European gas export share.
