MOSCOW, January 29. /TASS/. Online marketplace eBay will expand in 2014 the operation of ePacket service launched together with Russian Post, for expedited shipping of goods from the US to Russia, the head of the company’s Russian office Vladimir Dolgov said on Thursday.

At the moment, ePacket provides expedited shipping of goods acquired via eBay from China to Russia.

"We see that everything is fine with China. Now we’ll do the same with USPS (the United States Postal Service). And the Russian Post is ready, they realize what it is and why we need this," Dolgov said.

In the end of July 2014, eBay and Post of Russia launched the ePacket service to provide expedited shipping as part of their strategic cooperation. Since the launch, the time of delivery for goods shipped from China was reduced from 1.5 months to around 12 days, Vladimir Dolgov said.
