Ukraine's Donetsk self-proclaimed republic plans to raise coal production by 13% in 2015

The sides decided to guarantee this year's coal output at 8.658 million tons

MOSCOW, January 27. /TASS/. Ukraine's eastern self-proclaimed Donetsk republic plans to raise its coal production by 13% in 2015. This decision was made at a joint meeting of the Coal and Energy Ministry with the republican coal-mining companies on Tuesday.

"Upon results of the meeting, the sides decided to guarantee this year's coal output at 8.658 million tons, which is one million tonnes more than in 2014," the Donetsk news agency cited the ministry's statement.

The participants in the meeting also adopted some technological decisions aimed at declining coal mining cost and increasing of the income of the companies.
