KIEV, January 19. /TASS/. Naftogaz Ukrainy, Ukraine’s state gas company, and the Polish pipeline operator Gaz-System signed an agreement on the construction of a gas hub on the border between the two countries, Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk said at a press-conference on Monday.

After the construction Ukraine will receive up to 10 billion additional cubic meters of gas from EU countries, Yatsenyuk said. He added that what is meant is “not the Russian reverse gas flows, but the access to LNG terminals, which are already constructed in Klaipeda (Lithuania) and Poland.”

“We’re also talking about Ukraine’s access to the German gas market as one of the most efficient,” Yatsenyuk said.
