Deal on Russia electric power delivery to Ukraine to be confirmed monthly — minister

Ukraine does not stop electric power supply to Russian Republic of Crimea at the wholesale market price

KIEV, December 31. /TASS/. A framework accord on Ukrainian electric power import concluded between energy companies Ukrinterenergo and Inter RAO and signed for one year will be confirmed monthly, Ukrainian Minister of Energy and Coalmining Volodymyr Demchishin told a news conference on Wednesday.

“This is a framework accord for one year that will be confirmed monthly,” he stated.

“Electric power import price will be approximately 85 kopecks ($0.01) per KW. This is slightly less than an average weighted thermal power price. This is cheaper than electricity selling price by several Ukrainian stations,” Demchishin added.

Ukraine does not stop electric power supply to Russian Republic of Crimea at the wholesale market price to which a slight surcharge in favor of Ukrinterenergo will be added, the minister said.
