Eurasian Economic Union heads of state sign 20 documents

The Union of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan will be the biggest association with a consumer market of more than 170 million people

MOSCOW, December 23. /TASS/. Heads of state of the Eurasian Economic Union member states on Tuesday signed 20 documents.

These documents included a treaty on Kyrgyzstan’s joining the Eurasian Economic Union and an agreement on the presidency in statutory bodies of the Eurasian Economic Union.

The Union of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan will be the biggest association with a consumer market of more than 170 million people. It will operate on the norms and principles of the World Trade Organization (WTO) and will ensure free movement of goods, services, capitals and labour force. Armenia has already signed a treaty on joining the Eurasian Economic Union. It is expected that Kyrgyzstan will joint the Union from May 1, 2015.

The heads of states also signed an agreement on common principles and rules of circulation of pharmaceuticals, on common principles and rules of circulation of medical items. They also passed a decision to endorse a list of service sectors covered by a common market.
