Thailand signs contract to buy three Sukhoi Superjets for royal court

All the three airliners will be VIP-equipped with more comfort on board

BANGKOK, December 5. /TASS/. Thailand has signed a contract to buy three Russian Sukhoi Superjets (SSJ-100) for the royal court, Russian trade representative to Thailand Oleg Maslennikov told TASS on Friday.

All the three airliners will be VIP-equipped with more comfort on board. The planes are not delivered yet, but contracts have been already signed. Initially, a contract was concluded to deliver two airliners last year, and an agreement to deliver one more was signed last August, Maslennikov said.

The cost of the deal is not made public.

A Sukhoi Superjet VIP was presented at the MAKS air show in Zhukovsky near Moscow in 2013. It is an improved SSJ-100 Basic with a more comfortable interior and additional equipment that adds more than six million dollars to the cost.
