People injured in terrorist act in Volgograd in severe, moderately severe condition

According to latest reports, 26 people are undergoing treatment at the hospitals in Volgograd. One patient was discharged from the hospital.

MOSCOW, October 23 (Itar-Tass) - People injured in a terrorist act in the city of Volgograd, the southeast of the European part of Russia, are estimated to be in grave and moderately grave condition, the press service of the Russian Health Ministry reported on Wednesday.

“Two patients (a man and a woman) are undergoing treatment at the Priorov Central Institute of Traumatology and Orthopaedics underwent a surgery, they are in heavy but stable condition, the patients are in consciousness and are talking to their relatives,” the ministry stated. “Other two patients taken to the Vishnevsky scientific-research institute are in moderately heavy condition. They also underwent surgeries,” the ministry reported.

According to latest reports, 26 people are undergoing treatment at the hospitals in Volgograd. One patient was discharged from the hospital.

“They have got mine-blast traumas, burns and injuries by pieces of ammunition,” the press service said. “All medical institutions, which are giving medical aid to injured people, are provided fully with blood, plasma, blood substitutes and medicines,” the press service reported.

The blast went off at 14:05 Moscow time (10:05 GMT) on Monday, October 21, in a shuttle bus number 29 near the bus stop.
