Medvedev signs decree to subsidize defence enterprises in 2012

He noted that the federal budget envisaged 1.5 billion roubles to cover these costs

MOSCOW, July 19 (Itar-Tass) — Russia’s Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has signed a decree to compensate for interest expenses to Vnesheconombank that extended loans for the development and production of defence related goods.

He noted that the federal budget envisaged 1.5 billion roubles to cover these costs.

Medvedev emphasized that only enterprises that had no overdue debts would be subsidized.

“I hope that this will help us to keep traditionally strong positions on the international arms market,” he said.
